More resume help

The last time I used my resume I was looking for my first job out of college. Now, I updated the resume but I still have 'College Courses' on there. I want to leave it since my experience is mostly in Skin Care, I want to show that I took a variety of science classes for my major because I am applying to a few different types of jobs. I am also having a tough time coming up with a summary.

Does anyone want to proofread my resume?

Re: More resume help

i have a TRAINING section to address this issue...

what i found helpful when writing my resume was searching job postings/descriptions for my summary and other bullet points. search the web for other peoples resumes as well to get ideas. what positions are you looking for?

Re: More resume help

FM me if you need any help. I cut out the college courses, and even GPA info. after my first job out of college. Now I have been on several search committees to hire new employees, and everyone comments on how we don't really care about the GPA, more about experience (some grads. right out of college even leave on high school info, AP courses, stuff like that--not at all relevant..). Your industry may be different, but I would concentrate more on the tasks in your position than the college coursework. If you did an internship or something undergrad. you could include some of the info. in there....

Re: More resume help

Instead of a Courses section, you might want to put an 'Additional Information' section at the bottom of your resume. This might be a good place to say something like, 'Additional experience includes the following courses, taken at XY University:....' Let me know if you need a sample resume. Mine is from law school and they make us follow this rigid formula, so I'm not sure how helpful it would be.
