More veil questions!!! Need your help because I'm ordering TODAY!

Ok-- I pretty much know what I want -- there are just some things I am not too sure about.

1. Did you get a big comb or a small comb? What difference do you think the size of the comb makes?

2. I'm getting scattered crystals on a 2-tier elbow length veil and on my cathedral for the ceremony. About how many crystals should I have on the elbow length? On the cathedral? If you got a veil like this do have any idea how many were on there? (they are asking me how many I want)


3. Are you getting a round cut or standard cut?? I'm SO torn on this. I like the way the round cut sort of cascades around the face but in 108' wide, the standard cut looks beautiful too! Help!!

4. If you have pics of someone (an actual person not a model) in a veil that is 108' long -- please post!

I can only help with 2 of the questions. I have two veils one with a small comb and one with a large comb. I am going to wear the one with the large comb. I feel like it stays in my hair more securely. I have a 108' wide and I have standard. I love the fullness of it. Also, I was told that you should always get the large comb when you have a width of 108'. Why I have no idea. Sorry

That is so strange that they want to know how many crystals you want. How are you supposed to know?

sorry I can only really honest answer Question #1

I got a good sized comb. For the following reasons:

- My hairstyle I always knew the veil was going under my do and low.
- My hair is SOOOOOOO thick I need it to be big enough to hold
- I wanted a wider comb for a wider 'poof' of the veil if that makes sense, because it's behind my hair not on top of my head.


I got a round cut. fingertip. no crystals. didnt realize you could give someone a # for those types of things! ha!

Maybe you could tell them you want them fairly dense, very desnse, or very scattered & then an help you with the #.

or figure out how far apart you'd want them & dive that amongst the inches of fabric you'll have.

my comb is prtty wide, I didn't have a choice. I think its more secure, but if it would be in the way of your hairstyle, go for the smaller.
mine is mantilla cut. I'd go with the round, I think its more dramatic for the cathedral.

I have a wrist length veil, and the crystals are scattered. There are about a dozen of them. I personally didn't want too many because I really want the focus on my dress.

I like the wider comb because it is more secure and spreads the veil across your head a little more where it's attached (does that make sense?) My veil is a standard cut.
