Besides having no credit cards, he also has no loans (student, home, car, business) either? I find that so hard to believe! I can't imagine.
I really don't know how possible it is to get a mortgage without having any credit history. This is such a bad idea for a person. Even having a credit card and putting a minimal amount on it every month and paying it off immediately will give you a credit score (a good one at that)! You have to wonder about a person who has 0 credit history.
Where does the potential buyer currently live? If you rent, I believe you can use your rent history (checks, etc.) to go about getting a loan.
Honestly, it sort of worries me that this person has no credit history! I didn't think it was possible.
Sorry, I know this is not helpful ... but I think in your position I might second guess this sale ... even if he gets a mortgage I don't know how likely it is to be approved by the board without having that very necessary credit history!

Our agent is working on all that. She is trying to see if they will rent it for 6 months and then buy it by contract; or have the parents buy it and sign it over to them in 6 months once they est. some credit history! If he has no credit cards I wonder if he has debit cards.
