mortgage update

lesson #1: if you want something done... do it yourself

lesson #2: don't let dh handle anything 'important'

we filled out the mortgage paperwork last week. we were promised a phone call in 48 hrs. 48hrs turned out to be a sunday, so we waited till monday. no call. dh was responsible for calling to find out way... wednesday, and still no call, no information.

i grabbed the phone and within the hour i had information. men

LONG STORY SHORT: we will be OFFICIALLY house-hunting starting this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where will you be looking?

we're hoping to stay in the very area where we are now. i love the school district here and both my son and i have made friends since we moved here last year.

we're just south of princeton, nj.

we've already driven by two houses we're interested in. we just hadn't looked inside or gone to an open-house until we knew what we could afford.

My DH basically wasn't in charge of anything house hunting related because he isn't reliable at calling people back. grrr
