Mortification would be a good term to describe it....
So as most of you know my DH and I have had an expensive year, wedding last Sept and bought a house in June this year. To do all this, we have had to cut back and therefore I have not been able to buy clothes like I used to. Luckily I work in a very casual environment so I can get away with jeans a few days a week. Well, when I see a good sale I go for it. I bought a few of the short sleeve summer sweaters from Express in diff colors and try to mix them up w diff. outfits. Well today this girl at work was like ' Wow, you have quite a few of those sweaters don't you' NO its just that I wear them EVERY week. I was so embarrassed. I told my DH thats it I have to take some of the $ I got for my b-day and buy a few basics. Had to vent.

She's rude, plain and simple. Who does she think she is? Anyway, good luck bargin hunting. The other day the Gap had really nice kahaki capris, some skirts, etc. on sale for 12.99. The tops weren't too great. There aren't many sales now b/c 'back to school' is starting. Maybe you can try the outlets!

That was SO rude.
My friend owns Express for Men button downs in almost every color they come in. I guess it is not as noticeable on a guy, b/c a dress shirt is a dress shirt.
We have 1 lady here that makes dumb comments about peoples clothers & hair & stuff all the time. I hate that.
I usualy buy things in 2 colors when I like them. If it is soemthing simple, I don't think its that noticeable.
I have a lack of clothing too. I realized today as I was ironing htat I thin I wear this skirt every week. I used to switch up the tops, but this one looks & fitts the best. oh well.
My cousin used to be a flight attendant & then became a teacher & she said what she missed the most was the uniform. I can totally understand that!

Dont feel bad. People sometimes say stuff that may not be meant in a negative way..think positive..maybe she likes them..or was it in a snotty tone?
When I was temping i worked for an executive serch firm. You had to wear a suit almost everyday since most of the clients were for 150K and I even saw a few with 700K a year salary demands
Anyway, one girl I worked with clearly didnt have the money or fashion sense..but was ALWAYS neat...well my *** of a boss called her in the office and told her she needed to dress more appropriately for an upscale office . She was in tears.

thats crazy! you should have responded something to the effect of 'oh, glad to hear you pay such attention - since you obviously like them so, i'll let you know where you can get some too!'
