what are the most expensive/exclusive wedding locations on LI? a coworker is planning an event with another company he works for and they want it to be huge - money isnt an option...
all that I could come up with was Oheka ... what else is considered extravagent?

The first thing that comes to mind is renting out one of the mansions, like Westbury Gardens, the Nassau County Museum of Art, or the Vanderbilt. If she is going for exclusive, she has to understand that most of the RHs on LI have packages that make them available for almost any budget, depending on what one wants to sacrifice for the RH. So it's not going to make the impact that she wants it to make by name alone. A big party at a mansion might be out of reach, however, for most people, and get the 'ah' factor right from the invitation.

Depending on the size there are tons of spaces in the city. Puck Building Capitale Gotham Hall Angel Orensanz Foundation Prince George Ballroom

ETA: Keep in mind that these places do not look like your typical LI catering hall, so if he still wants that look than maybe he should just focus on LI.

I've been to events at Gotham Hall and the Waldorf and both were amazing. . .but I have to say Gotham Hall is GORGEOUS
OH i know gotham hall would be my ideal place, its just perfect

I know, ive said on here quite a few times how amazing the new york public library looks. Ive seen pics of their events and OMG it is breath taking. That was one of the first few places that i saw in locations magazine and said-thats what i want. Then i remembered that oh yeah it would probably cost god knows how much

Tribecca Rooftop is supposed to be the place or the Lighthouse in the city are supposed to be amazing. Also you can rent The Met for events. If you have the loot in NYC- ha ha - you can do anything!

Also, does Per Se do weddings?? They are rated the best restaurant in NY (in Zagats it says you're basically taking out a second mortgage to eat there! )....but it might be something to check out. Although I don't think they have the space.
But Lincoln Jazz Center and Mandarin Oriental are in the same building (Time Warner Center)...might want to look into both of those too..

The singular most beautiful wedding I have ever attended was at The Metropolitan Club on 60th Street on the Upper East Side of New York City. Super elegant marble outside, gorgeous gate for entrance, inside is marble, gold and velvet, each room and floor are different. Have your pre-cocktails in the marble foyer, then cocktails in the back room on the first floor, then walk up the gorgeous stairs to the insanely beautiful ballroom, you feel like you are in Versailles!

Agreed!!! I went to an absolutely beautiful wedding last year at the Rainbow Room. So gorgeous and insanely expensive lol
