But mostly it would be Sizzler or Pizzaria Uno for me.

any chinese take out restaurant..something just gives me the heebee jeebies if you cant sit down and dine.

See - and my mom used to say the opposite - that she only wanted to order chinese from a place where people weren't sitting down because she could see them reusing people's food if they ate there - she was like - it's all chopped up and mixed up - you wouldn't be able to tell!!

There is another bit of info..watch the staff. DH and I try to go when its close to lunch time or right before they close. Many places let their employees come out to eat. If you notice the staff is not..Exit the restaurant

definitely a good point. where i used to work and where i work now, you will see the staff always eating (when not working, of course, which is indicative of good things.) when at applebees and where i am now, the staff is kind of in the open, so you can see them. it is a good sign!

I corrected my post. Riese Corp owns a bunch of a bunch of chain restaraunts in NYC and really s@!@ me over a few times.

I dunno... I guess people knock the Olive Garden because we have a large abundance of good Italian Restaurants.

But its still VERY popular. My FW loves this place. I think its ok... nothing spectacular... but not bad I guess.

I don't really have issues with Olive Garden. Don't got frequently, but the breadsticks ar egood enough to go for an occasiona; work lunch.

I can't stand Friday's. It smells like grease, it's over run my 15 year olds, & the menu is boring & fattening & the service usually sucks.

Applebee's I can't stand, mostly because of the service ( or lack there of ) & most Friendy's are gross, but the food is ok ( DH disagrees ) --this ice cream is good though.

Used to love Fridays...but not so much anymore. How many times can you have Jack Daniel's anything? If I am having whiskey I should be getting buzzed!

Honestly, alot of people have gotten sick from chinese more often than any food in my circle of friends. If it documented i cant tell you but I for fact know that dogs were eaten in Korea and when I asked about the dish here in flushing..it was not met with any resistence since I spoke some Korean..so you just have to becareful. Wether it is dog or substandard meat at any restaurant.

Most hated, as in will never return, that would be Cafe on the Green in Bayside. It was without a doubt the worst service (which is a misnomer because we didn't receive any) I have ever been subjected to. It was so bad we left.

Ahhhh... I love Fridays. When I get a craving for Seasame Jack Strips... I have to go!


The one thing I don't understand about Fridays... is their potato skins kinda suck when you are at the restaurant. They are very dry... hardly any cheese... etc.

But when I buy them frozen in the supermarket... they are delicious! Plenty of cheese and bacon. Plus now they have the skins with cheese and BROCCOLI that you can get in the supermarket. Those are really good!

Pizzeria Uno, just b/c it never agrees with me.

I personally enjoy the Olive Garden every once in awhile, although there are other italian restaurants that are MUCH better.

DJPill, I'm with you on the sesame jack chicken strips at Friday's!!

myasmom...... OMG, thats so sad about kay-ko-gi.. or wahtever it is.....

whenever we're in Chinatown i joke around, I say 'quick walk faster, i dont want them to take tinkerbell' (my chihuahua)... so now everytime i'm walking her and we see a chinese person my father makes some stupid joke how theyre staring at her... lol....
