We looked into it, but it will cost more than our RH! Its so $$$ but looks amazing.

It was the most amazing place ive been!!!!!!! Super romantic!!!!!!!

Jade Mountain is so amazing (not that I've been!) I also like Lapas Rios in Costa Rica.

if you like st lucia, check out Ladera Resort

It's not well known, but OMG it's gorgeous, and ULTRA private!!! Ladera is up on a 1,100-foot ridge, and it only has 32 rooms (9 villas, and 23 suites)!!!!

if we had the money, we'd go there in a heartbeat. A friend of ours (our BM actually) stayed there with his ex, and he said it's the best resort he's ever stayed at (he's been all over). The guest suites are built into the mountain, so you only have 3 walls, and every room has a private pool. The food is to die for, and the view is what it's all about.

Our BM said when he went, he only saw about 10 other couples in the whole resort!

omg thinking about this is making me really wanna change my HM lol

Im going in March!!!

I wouldn't recommend the mediterranean for December either - the weather is close to what it is here :(

But, we're going to St. Lucia and can't wait! Sandals Grande.

Recreo also arranges all your excursions w private transportation.... We did ziplining, horseback riding, and white water tubing it was like 80 bucks and included lunch
We also did a day trip to nicaeagua with a private guide very cool it included 3 or 4 cities, breakfast lunch dinner and im each city u stopped and did something. We did a ride around in one of those bikes that someone drives, rigshaw bike, a boat ride on the largest lake in nicaragua, monkey island, and a market, and a stop at a volcano that the top where another lake is looks like a heart!!!

They also have trips to arenel overnight!!!

Its still in a undeveloped area of costa rica so you get all the natural beauty of the country. The houses are all built into a mountain and each has their own beauty. Ours had a hamock and private pool (each house has a pool) we had a maid that cleaned up inside and out everyday while we were gonr. Each house had a washer dryer and either you or she could wash out things if you want

And our chef!!!!!!!! Cant rave enough!!!!! Every morning we had amazing food with fresh fruit! And then he would ask if we wanted lunch at house or packed up for beach. If we chose packed up he made an amazing lunch and put in cooler with whatever you wanted to drink
He made us amazing frozen drinks!!
And dinner was always scrumptious!!!!!!! As was desert!!!!
His name was caliche!

You also get your own concierge

O and you take your private golf cart all around the resort! To thebeach etc. There is a cabana type guy at the beach and kayaks etc!! There were 3 days we were the only ppl on the beach!!!!!! There is a little island you can kayak out to but you cant climb it!!! They stress this a lot. There is another resort you can check out as well as a local bar.There is a place on top of the mountain that had the most amazing sunsets ever (put caribean islands to shame imo) and you get the option to have dinner cooked there if you want!! O we also saw monkeys in the trees!!!!!

FYI - i just looked into ladera and it looks like they're closed during the time that you will be honeymooning My guess is because it's hurricane season... but I could be wrong!

holy! ladera is beautiful but for 2 weeks in december is 13K without food or drinks!
sigh....I want to be a billionaire so freeking bad!

We are staying at the Veranda in Turks and Caicos!!

It's ALL INCLUSIVE!! But not the kind that has a million mediocre restaurants---different themes each night though and supposedly all are delicious! Seems to be more intimate but still lively and right on the beach. Also they offer free shutttles!!!! Love this. So going to the amazing Coco Bistro
and the 90 FEET LONG bar is just a free shuttle ride away

We stayed half our HM at Tabacon, in Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica. And the other half at Secrets Maroma, Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Both were amazing.
Costa Rica is the most amazing place that I've ever been to in my life!

i wonder how far ladera is from there??? maybe I could do both!!! ladera is not the kind of place Id want to spend 2 weeks at, maybe just a few days.

Id be going in december, is it still warm there? do you have any idea? If I end up going, you better be around bc I will be picking your brain!!!!
