i wonder how far ladera is from there??? maybe I could do both!!! ladera is not the kind of place Id want to spend 2 weeks at, maybe just a few days.

it was amazing! I can't stress it enough how much we loved it!!! yes it is great there in december, they are opposite seasons from us (sorta b/c it's in latin america) and that is actually their warm season! I went during July which was rainy season. What weeks are you looking to go???

and if you do costa rica I would do it now, its going to get over developed sooner rather than later. O and they do airport transfers, it is a 5 hr flight from here, we got direct from newark (no biggie spent the night before at a airport hotel--if you don't do this do a car service) and got picked up at the airport in their land rover. it took about an hour and 15 minutes to get to the resort, but they do stop as soon as you get on the road so you can get drinks for the way---awesome ride you see a lot of the beauty of the country. although part of the way there are some roads that are unpaved, but it adds to the beauty of the country
everyone at the resort was very hospitable. a lot of the houses that they rent out are owened by fellow long islanders! basically they own them and get a few black out dates during the year.
calieche was our cook and i recommend him with flying colors!!!
everyone spoke good english as well our pool beach with island
our house!!!! bathroom

awesome. i would look into it now b/c i know a few years ago the owners used to go down with a bunch of friend's for nye they are all really cool people so if they are there when you and fh are you will have a blast! they are all people our age from LI
