A friend of mine is driving from NYC to Montauk and wants to take a scenic drive as opposed to the usual highways. Any recommendations on the best way to go? Thanks

IMO.... take the LIE to William Flyd Pkwy South (not sure what exit #) and take that to Sunrise Hwy (27 east). then stay on 27 the whole way there.

EXACTLY!! By the way, William Flyd Pkwy is 68S off of the LIE.

There's no other way really unless you take crazy backroads. Rt 27 is very pretty and scenic for a 'main' road out there

well, you could take rt 27 all the way from Queens, but it might take you a day to get there
