my mom finally bought a dress & it's nice but it's not a 'MOTB' dress. I told her she didn't have to wear a typical dress if she didn't want to but now we (me & my mom) feel like it may not be dressy enough. It is a daytime wedding so people may be more casual but she thought it might be funny next to my step dad in a tux.

My mother does not want a typical MOB dress either. No high slits or low cuts, not even a gown.. It will be a morning church wedding with a daytime reception. We have been having trouble with that as well.

My mom didnt get traditional! She got sexy! She's always loved dressing sexy so I wanted her to be comfortable. I think she looks incredible :)

I like it and think it is totally appropriate. But if she's not comfortable or not sure than I would return it and go with something else. No matter what the occasion, you always want to feel good in what your wearing, ya know?

i think its nice! My mom didn't get a typical mob dress either.. its just not her, my parents don't have the extra $$ to shell out for an expensive mob dress, and since I want our wedding is only semi-formal (maybe not even that formal), she'd look way over dressed. There's a pic in my album...its really plain.
