Hi everyone! This is my first time posting a topic on here and I really need help. My FH's Mom passed away this Jan. and we are stuck what to do about the mother son dance. His Grandmother is still with us but she is older and uses a walker, I also thought of just playing a song for her and leaving the dance floor empty but that seems too sad. Any and all ideas are welcome. FH's idea is just to do nothing but, it seems wrong to just leave her unacknowledged. PLEASE HELP!!!

hm maybe you could do a dance where everyone can get up and dance, a slower song, and announce that this dance is in remembrance to FH's mother?

How about doing a dance dedicated to all of the mothers who will be in attendance at your wedding? Maybe he can dance with an aunt or another women he is close with. You could do a photo montage of him and his mother.

i'm actually in the same boat as FH mom passed away last March.
Does your FH have a sister? We're thinking of having him dance with his sister or younger niece (first grandchild and one of our flower girls) during what would be the mother/son dance.
We're also planning to do a few other things to incorporate her into the wedding. FH will have cufflinks with her initials and i'm putting these small photo charms on my bouquet, SIL and flower girl with her on them. Trying to think of other ways to include her throughout the day....

He doesn't have a sister and is not close enough to any of his female cousins. His Mom passed of Pancreatic Cancer so as one of the favors we are donating money to the Lusgarten foundation in her memory. I do like some of the ideas that have been posted here so thanks everyone!! I will sure to let you know what we decide.

My fh mom died a while ago. He actuallybdecided that he wants to dance with my mom. His dad also died so to honor them fh and I along with his brothers and their wives are going to dance to their parents wedding song
