Mother#$@&(#$! Need hair/makeup help!

OK. I have no one to do my hair or makeup for my wedding. I was supposed to have a trial tomorrow, but it was just cancelled due to scheduling conflicts (I found out b/c I just checked my office voice mail after coming home today from a conference). I am still planning on having a trial with her (and hopefully I will like her work, but I can't take that chance and I am in desperate need of someone who can do BOTH hair and makeup). I can't deal with the time necessary to go to two different people to do each for trials and whatnot. I work in Nassau and live in Queens, so I really can't travel all the way out into Suffolk very easily.

Oh, and I'm getting married in 29 days!

I was supposed to use Jennifer from Fairytale, but she's not available for my new wedding date, so she's out.

My trial is with Elena of Bridal Touch.

Who else does both and won't cost me an arm and a leg???? Please help me!

Does she do both? She's also located in East Northport. That's far for me to travel after work.

I sent her an email, although she seems to be very expensive, and I'm not sure that I can afford her!

Do you need someone to come to you ont he wedding day? If not, I'm using Christie's salon in Bayside and have had good luck with them in the past.

Yes, I need them to come to me. I'm getting married at the Garden City Hotel and staying there the night before.

Janshari - right up the block are two good salons you could try on weekends they won't send someone but they might during the week.

Try Del Mar and Anastasia's - both are right around the corner near the grocery stores and texaco station on franklin ave between stewart ave and 7th street - it is walking distance to the hotel

Etd to say there is also Madison Taylors in town as well.

If you get REALLY desperate I have a friend. She is going to do my bridesmaids makeup for my wedding. She never did a bride before though. She used to work at Ulta doing make-up there.

I'm in touch with Oksana now, and she's got a friend who does hair. I am just so freaked out about this...hair and makeup are extremely important for my wedding day, and I've got like 4 weeks to find the person who can make a miracle happen and make me look good for my wedding day!

I am in the same boat, except my wedding is in 3 weeks, I only need hair though

I have excellent girls for both hair & makeup. They will not travel to you though, they're part of a salon. I used Salon di Capelli in New Hyde Park, Irene for my hair and Dina for my makeup. You can see a pic in my profile. They were great!! And it was about $100 total. FM me if you want more details.
