Mother/daughter dance...

I am having a mother/daughter dance at my wedding instead of a father/daughter dance and I have been searching for the perfect song and I think I found it! It's called 'Like My Mother Does' by Lauren Alaina. It expresses in a song pretty much how I see my mother. I have a friend who sings amazing and offered to sing at my wedding so I hope she will be able to sing this for us to dance to or should I say cry to! Lol. I can already see the water works!

i will also be doing a mother-daughter dance. i will probably use 'mama's song' by carrie underwood or 'you don't have to let go' by jessica simpson.

can anyone recommend a non country song in this category?...I was thinking 'Aint no moutain high enough' I always think of the mom and daughter dancing around to this song in StepMom

I was also trying to find a non country song but there really aren't many as heart felt as the country songs that I've heard. When my friend sings it the song won't sound country so it works out for me.

Aww that sounds like a beautiful song! I'm doing the same at my wedding..since my mom has always been both mother/father figure for me & my sister. I'm most likely doing mama's song by Carrie Underwood..and waterworks will be in full effect for everyone LOL

Crashing! I'm surprising my mom with a mother/daughter dance. Quite frankly... It's just because I feel like it. No dramatic reasons. I feel like it's my big day and why should my mom be left out? And I'm using the Backstreet Boys - Perfect Fan.
