Mother & Groom 'Dance'/Tribute with mother who has a bad hip?
Has anyone heard of anything different being done at the reception for the Mother and Groom when the mother can not dance? My FMIL has a bad hip and my FH doesn't want to do the dance. It would be nice if we could think of something else so that they can have that moment. He's the first and probably only child of hers that will marry.

Could she walk out to the center of the dance floor and sit on a chair? Then your FH could sing to her.

Can she dance for about a minute ? This way you have the photo and video shot of the groom dancing with his mom. You can then step in to finish the song, or maybe your mom can step in.

I'll have the same situation.. my FH's mom uses a walker and can't really walk or stand up very straight.. can't imagine she would dance... any more ideas ladies?

Ooh, I need ideas for this too.....my fmil has a bad back and can't dance..
Maybe he could give her a bouquet or something? Some kind of a dedication?

I like the idea of presenting her with a bouquet of flowers or something sentimental....Maybe he can write her a poem of some sort and present that to her with some flowers.....At that time they can pose for the photographer to take a few pics.... HTH!!! Good Luck!!!

what about a slide show of pictures of the both of them together while your fh was growing up or something?
