mother of the bride dresses??

my mother just found out the dress she ordered doesn't come in the color she wanted!! she is freaking out :(

can you girls give me some places where your mothers ordered their dresses from?

Tell your mom not to worry, she's got plenty of time... we haven't even started shopping for my mom's and my wedding is the week before yours. It'll all be ok.

Maybe she'll look even better in the color it does come in! Could be a blessing in disguise.

I have to call my mom and see about shopping Saturday after the mets game. I was going to try My Daughter's Wedding II in Great Neck, followed by Macy's in Manhassett and maybe Lord & Taylor's or something... is Filene's still open?

My mom ordered her dress from Macy's in Manhasset - they had a decent selection and they price match.

my mom ended up hating her dress when it came in (this was for my sisters wedding) so she ended up buying one at estelle's and it was really nice and she was happy w/ it.

For my sister's wedding, my mom looked everywhere and started freaking out when she didn't find one that she liked. She eventually went to a small boutique-like store in Lynbrook called Grace Charles and found a dress she loved! She will be going back there for my wedding.

A friend of mine's mother bought her dress at Totally You in Bellmore, and recommended that my mother go there as well.

My mom found hers at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, but ended up ordering it from Paradise Bridal in Patchogue because that's where I ordered my BMs dresses.

My FMIL ordered hers from Estelle's and my mom ordered hers from Macys in Herald Square. Macy's was great - they had a huge selection that varied in price and the customer service was awesome. She got a Caterina dress and it came in pretty much every color. GL!

My Daughter's Wedding has a HUGE selection of dresses. My mom actually found her dress at Estelles, but she wanted a brand new dress, so she ordered it through Helen's Bridal, where my girls and I got our dresses.
