Hi girls, my mom and I have been searching for MOB dresses and haven't really seen anything she has loved so far. I would really like her to get a dress she feels special in - can you please recommend some places that have a variety of mother dresses to choose from?

I don't know where you live, but have you tried Totally You in Bellmore? They usually have a nice selection.

ITA! My mom is younger so she felt a lot of the traditional MOB dresses were too stuffy for her. WHen we went to Totally You, they had an under $200 rack and this gorgeous blue dress from there caught her eye. They advised her against trying it on because it just wasn't formal enough for the MOB. I and she tried it on and looked like a million bucks in the dress! It was made for her!

We looked at a ton of places before finally finding her a dress at Sugar Plum in Garden City. It was fabulous and the lady we worked with was wonderful. I can't remember her name right now though. Good Luck!

I second this!! My mom got her dress there...and she sent 5 people from work who's kids were getting married and they too got their dresses there. They have a wide variety and can order dresses too!

My mom just bought her dress this past weekend from Elena Bridal in Merrick, which is where I got my dress and my bridesmaids got their dresses. The salon seems small, but they have a really great selection of quality dresses. I would try there!

My FMIL got hers at Bridal Elegance, and in the past at Metamorphosis. I can't remember the name of where my mom got hers, it's a bridal boutique in Great Neck.
