Mother of the bride shoes

Mother of the bride shoes

Very important question...

My mom is looking for a nice pair of shoes to wear with her gown for my sister's wedding. However, my mom has a problem with her leg and limps (she had a stroke)... she cannot wear open backs or anything with a high heal (maybe half an inch at the most). She is very sensitive about this issue and wants to wear something that looks nice with her gown - not take away from it.

I was advised for myself from a podiatrist today that Aerosoles are the best for narrow feet (which is part of my problem, but my mom's feet are very narrow too). I searched their Web site but they are very limited and the cutest shoe had a 3 inch heal and a 1/4 inch platform... may be too high for her. Anyone else have EXTREMELY comfortable shoe brands that are very cute/pretty that they can recommend? I want her to be comfortable, both physically and emotionally for the weddings. Price is a little less of an issue than the other issues as she can rewear the shoes for my wedding if they do her good.

Most women love shoes... I absolutely HATE them... anything cute/fashionable has to hurt or do damage later on (love how most womens' shoes have NO - ZERO arch... hello???). I love all other apparel... just not shoes... had to throw the vent in there...

My mom has the opposite problem - very wide feet. She only buys name brand designer shoes. She used to go to a store in Lindenhurst that unfortunately closed down because they were a specialty shop. She found low heeled shoes for my wedding at MJM Shoes in Commack.

Before she found the store in Lindenhurst, she was an avid Craft Shoe Store shopper.

HTH!

I'll have her try Nordstrom...

I think wide withs are a little easier... I called Modells to find out if they carry New Balance - but in different widths and the guy said 'yeah, we carry wide widths' (he automatically assumed) so I asked for narrow and he had to transfer me to someone else. Small feet aren't easy! : )

You may even want to try Payless.

i have found saugus brand shoes (tryhttp://www.bestbridalprices.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7_55 ) to be really comfy, even the high ones! They sell a lot of low styles as well though. Try myglasslipper.com too. You can do a search by heel height.
