Ladies - honestly is it bad that my wedding is the day before mothers day next year - one of my BM;s were like well some people go away NEVER have i heard that people go away for mothers day..... thoughts...... thanks!
I think it's fine. I dont know many people that go away for mother's day. And even if they do...they can make an exception for your wedding!!!
Honestly...we considered that day too, since it would mean FH's mom would fly here for the wedding. She lives in FL and we would love to spend that day with her. But FH and I discussed it and picked a different date. For a couple of reasons...its high Communion/ Christening / Wedding you name it season. Our friends have kids in dance recitals that usually happen around that time and the biggie -Mother's Day. I know at least 4 couples who travel that wknd now. You have the Outlaws one day, your mom and fam the next, if not your own celebration. So...since the wknd before was open and I didn't want to stress about the date, we changed it. I personally think you should leave it alone...your guests will come. If FH didn't bring it up, I wouldn't have given it a second thought.
You will be fine. It's not a long weekend. I really never heard of that before.
I think that's totally fine. If we avoided every day that is either before, after, or during some holiday, more than half of the year wouldn't be an option!
