Anyone ever heard of this? Its in Huntington, New York and supposedly belonged to Mattitutck indians who thought ti was taboo to begin with because they thought it was cursed. crops won't and never have grown and there is is a headless man who carried a basket full of decapitated heads an a police officer, who has the back of his head missing!

Re: Mount Misery
Never heard of it but I'm not from LI either so that might be why.
So someone tell me the stuff that happened to them on that road. Of course now I want to check it out.

Re: Mount Misery
I so want to check it out now, but the guy said that he was traveling down the road one night, and he got pulled over by a cop, and the cop asked him for his id and everything, and he gave them to him, and as the cop walked back to the cop car, he guy looked out the window and saw that the back of the cops head was missing. That creeped me out so bad that I am scared to go now. If I get stopped by a real cop, I would probably be too scared to pull over and would end up in jail, not sure if my 'but officer I thought you were a ghost' story would hold any weight .

I'm sure they have heard that before
Plus in Queens if you put on your hazards and drive normaly (not speeding) you can wait until you get to a well lite area (like a gas station) Not sure if LI has the same rules

There is a spot with marys grave that if you flash the lights u will see her.. Thankfully this never happened. I drove there once in a pickup truck in the open back don't know what the hell we were thinking.. soo freaking scary...

really! what happened! I heard that this guy was driving at night on Mount Misery Rd and he got pulled over by a cop and he was like there was something wrong with his head and when he poked his head out the window to get a better look at the cop and saw that the back of his head was missing and then he dissapeared.

Re: Mount Misery
Is that Mount Misery Road that you are talking about? It is off of Sweet Hollow Road, which is also suppose to be haunted and has a cemetary off of it. All of those roads are so windy and I HATE driving down them at night...definitely creepy!
