Some exciting news! FH & I are moving in together Aug 1st (possibly end of july)! My Uncle has an apartment and his tenant happened to move out so they asked us if we would like to move in. The best news is that he is completely redoing the place for us! Brand new custom kitchen cabinets, new tile floor, new wood floor, new rugs. EVERYTHING! Plus we can paint/decorate however we want without having to do the work!
It is a bit sooner then FH and I were planning on moving in together but we couldn't pass up the opportunity of a BRAND NEW place. (minus the 70s yellow bathroom tiles that is the only thing that he isn't changing) It's not cheap but I am just so happy to move in together. We will have to cut back a little bit more since we will be paying rent sooner then expected but I am so excited!

Congrats! My FH asked me to move in together after 7 months of dating. I gave up the city life to move to Queens and I couldn't be happier!

Congrats! It's such an exciting time! Word of advice, don't go crazy buying stuff for the apartment that you have registered for! If you need something, go cheap since you will probably get a nicer one for your shower!

Lol - I know this from experience, we moved into our house 4 months before getting engaged, had spent the months before that creating a stockpile of stuff for the house (I got almost everything on clearance), and fast forward to today, and I have a registry with not much to put on it!
