Moving in w/ FI

So after thinking about this for some time, I have decided to move into our home w/ my FI. Originally I had planned to wait until after the wedding bc i thought it would be 'more special'. That may be true but Im paying half the mortgage and well..... I miss him. I wanna spend more time w/ him and he does too so.... I will probably move in slowly all through Oct. Im so excited.

But as you may know, I just had to put my one dog to sleep yesterday (very sad about that) and now I will have to leave the other one too. Im having a REALLY hard time w/ that

I'm so sorry about your dog.
My dog is the most important thing in my life..I can only imagine what you're going through.

congrats.. I have been living with my fiance for about 5 months, and let me tell you it has been great.. the underwear in the middle of the room has happened to me as well, along with socks on the floor

Congrats on your decision! FH has been asking me to move in with him ever since he got his own place, but I'm going to wait, especially now that it's only 15 mos away!!! There's defintiely an adjustment period. I can see that just from spending weekends with him and sharing the responsibilities and decisions on his apartment. WOW. In some ways it'll be great that you moved in together before the wedding, of course financially, and all the time you'llg et to spend together, but also because you'll get to iron out a lot of that stuff beforehand, and once you get back from the honeymoon, you'll be able to settle into marriage easily b/c you'll have already ironed out a lot of the kinks

This is GREAT news, Miche! You know I'm 100% in favor of living together before the wedding! (Mostly b/c of what the ladies have already attested to).

Everyone told me that the adjustment would be so hard, but it really wasn't. Living with J.O. has the best decision and best time of my life. It just makes the whole wedding planning process fun, and takes any stress, 2nd thoughts, etc out of the situation.

Of course there is the always the glass left on the coffee table, or dishes in the sink, but there is also a hug and kiss every night when I get home, and tons of QT we would have never had. Given yours and Matt's schedules, I think this is the BEST thing for you. Expect some tumultuous times, but it will be that much less stressful after the Big Day.

congrats on your decision, i think its a great idea, moving in with my fh was the best decision we have ever made, good luck to you both and sorry about your dog
