FH and I got our new apartment this weekend and are officially moving in together May 12th! We are very excited!! And Im moving to Long Beach from the city so I am going from a tiny two bedroom to a huge one bedroom! And I used to have 1 small closet and now I am getting a walk in closet and 5 additional closets!!!! Im so excited!!! And it has a dishwasher!!! And the building over looks the beach and has a pool!!! And its less money than the one Im in now!! Im super excited incase you can't tell!!!

Fh and i love the city and we spent all day there yesterday. We'd love to live there but can't justify the expense. Rent can be the cost of a mortgage on LI!

haha I loooove NYC, but it is soooo much money!!! LI is a lot of money as well, but you get three times the space!! And Ill still be working ehre and only a train ride away!

You have noooo idea how happy I am to be getting one!! Right now my closet is jammed pack full as well as my dresser and I have piles of clothes folded on the floor cus there is no where to put them! My poor clothes!

it is ok that your are excited. You allowed matter of fact it is due to you. I know how it feels FH moved in together in February. It is such a wonderful experience

I am sooo happy for you and feel your excitement! FH and i are moving in together today literally, lol, and are so happy too. Your apartment sounds AMAZING! especially the walk in closet, that is really living life in luxury. Congrats and happy decorating!!!

One of the nurses I work with told me I should do it even if it's for a year. With the nursing shortage they offer perks to the RNs... She also said the experience you gain in an urban hospital is invaluable for nurses.

I dont know how accurate this is, but FH and i calculated expenses of living in manhattan and working and commuting from LI and figured we would save 6,000-10,000 per year by living in manhattan We figured this by subtracting the cost of LIRR, car(i have to buy a car soon), gas, and car insurance for two people from annual expenses even considering the astronomical rent in manhattan. i didnt end up getting a job there, but it was an interesting theory...

Me and FH had our first apartment in long beach, it was really great, and it sounds like we were in the same building, we are in seapoint towers, overlooking the ocean and boardwalk, on shore road.
we were there for 2 years and it was really great!!!!
Enjoy cause it goes fast, and next is a house!!!!!
