My future Brother in Law lives in Tampa. I love it there myself. About 3 years ago, FH got a job offer there and we were all set to move and then it fell through.

My FBIL lives in North Tampa, Hillsboro County. It's really nice. Good luck.

I have been looking at houses and areas on line and really know nothing about what are the good areas or the bad. Could you give me some zip codes to look for as potential areas?

i would also love some good areas in tampa. i have heard from a few people that tampa is 'ghetto' (their words not mine) and i was so disappointed. i have actually never been. i am going next wednesday for business for 3 days so at least i will get to see some of the area, i am very excited! FH and I are definitely relocating after the wedding, maybe not right away, but within the first year for sure. right now his job has openings in miami and west palm beach. miami is just really expensive, but i really like west palm. what are u guys planning on doing for jobs?

Re: moving out of state after the wedding??

Hopefully get a teaching job....so far I have spoken to a recruiter from hillsborough county schools and they are so short for teachers. SO hopefully I will be able to get a job. My FH is in the golf industry so Florida would be ideal for him. I recently sent away for the Tampa Tribune to help us out about apts. and jobs. I think like everywhere were you go they have good parts and bad parts to that particular area.
What is everyone else doing for employment??

Re: moving out of state after the wedding??

i agree, i have heard some areas are really nice. so far we have visited navarre (by pensacola) and orlando for possible relocation. and as well, they have the good and the bad parts. its amazing what a better quality of life you can have down there, i will be sad to leave, but i am really excited as well. fh works for general electric so he can transfer with no problem. i plan to go back to school after the wedding to become a nurse. right now i am an office manager and i make a very good living, but i stepped in s*it w/ my job. i wouldnt make close to this down there. good luck w/ the teaching position, i know the medical and teaching field down there is very large!
