suggestion why don't we name a few places with various queens/manhattan locations, with a few optional dates with a poll or something and then do an official thread? or maybe someone has an easier way

good idea - I'm kind of useless with suggestions for queens; i never go out there except to dinner with FH b/c none of my friends live there anymore. i would go to astoria but all i know are the restaurants - haven't been out there for a long time.

i guess it depends on where and if we want a restaurant/bar or just a bar.

You are right I haven't really hung out their in about 2 years. I grew up in Queens, but I can throw out a few places that offer food & bar or can just to go to for the bar. I'll even suggest a few in Manhattan. Personally I am open to go anywhere.

Let me pick my brain and I'll list some.

If it's in queens I'd definitely go. I can spit on bell blvd from my apt. Not that I do that often.

forest hills does too - I love astoria! and I used to live in Bayside.

Well, technically Queens is on LI so you are not violating any sacred code. We could also do manhattan for anyone who works here.

I think forest hills would be great because it's so easy to get to.

it is easy to get to - near the subways and the LIRR. any suggestions? I've been to a bunch of the restaurants... i can't think of a good bar scene except 5 burro which is tiny and gets backed. Otherwise if we want food there are more choices - unless people can suggest a few bars.

There's an improv show in the city if you'd all be interested in that. It's like Who's Line is it Anyway? but live! Tons of fun.
