I don't know if her handbag line still exists. I have to agree with Novemberbride. I don't know if I think Hilary has actually 'moved on' I think she has her own agenda. I think Bill and Jfk adn anyone else that feels the need to have affairs to be a disgrace as well. As for Monica deserving to be the butt of jokes across America....She brought it on herself. The only reason she is being given these types of opportunities is becasue she gave the president a bj. It just isn't the type of role model I would ever want for my daughter as far as being single and successful goes. But that is jmo

Re: Mr. Personality!!
I'm not a big Monica fan but I do think she got a bad rap with all that happened. She was not the one who was married, had a daughter and was running the country. Let's all remember this. She was a 22 year old girl who made a very bad mistake. However, if I were her, I would not put myself back in the spotlight with such a cheesy show. I would want to redeem myself by doing something good for other people, working with charities and women organizations, etc. Her hand bag business is doing really well too. She should focus more on her business.
As for Haley, it's fine that she doesn't fall madly in love with these guys but her comments about them are plain rude. When she was with that guy in the dark room, the only thing she stated was that he has a receding hairline. When the other guy stormed off at the party, she said that she knew he wouldn't be good looking. She just gets on my nerves.

I think Clinton and Monica both made fools of themselves.I think Monica shouldn't be put into the celebrity spotlight because the only reason she is known is for the affair she had with the president. That is not someone you want to idolize.

Re: Mr. Personality!!
If Mr. Personality was a childrens show then I would be in full agreement that Monica is not an example to follow.
But Mr Personality is a show for adults. Yes she is notorious for having 'sexual relations' with the former president...and aiding the president in his extra marital affair is definitely wrong. But we all have made our mistakes. Giving a BJ is hardly the worst thing a person can do - but she has been made out to be some sort of evil shrew and I dont think that is fair.
Considering the fact that she has been completely ripped apart by the press and much of America - I think she has done quite well for herself in the aftermath. How would everyone here react if they were constantly being the butt of fat/ugly/**** jokes for several years in a row? Considering many of us have near breakdowns over guest lists, party favors, dress alterations, hair snafus - I dont think we would all be so collected about it. I know I for one could not handle it.
She has been able to take a bad experience and turn it into something good for herself. And for that reason I think she is sets an example for ADULT women. The morale of her story is that even after all that, you can still be sucessful.

Re: Mr. Personality!!
just because I feel like playing devil's advocate...
Marilyn Monroe had an affair with the president too (and his brother!), but she doesn't get the slack Monica gets.
FH won't let me watch the show because he can't deal with anymore marriage-based reality shows.

I agree with Novemberbride....what they both did is a disgrace...although I still liked the way Clinton ran the country. I think exposing her even more is just sad. Yeah we make mistakes...but giving the presdent a BJ.that is pretty PATHETIC if you ask me

Re: Mr. Personality!!
While maybe it is intended for adults I can say that last night I was watching 2 children one 12 the other 10 and they and their friends are all addicted to the show. Not for Monica but the show itself (which scares me in itself)
While Monica may have used her 'mistake' or I prefer to call it a trashy move (having an affair with a man you know if married makes you a terrible person in MY book-but that is me) to make something of herself I still don't think that I would put her on a list of successful, strong women that I would want my daughter sister or friends to model themselves after. The only reason any of the things she has done have worked is due to the use of the media that 'trashes' her so often. As for the fat jokes she set herself up for that as well. She got greedy. She knew the media was having a field day with her weight but she choose to be the poster child for Jenny Craig for a million bucks. When that failed she had to know what was going to follow. If I didn't want to be the butt of every media joke I would have finished the court proceedings and kept a low profile. By doing things like writing her book and Being the Jenny Craig spokesperson to make a quick buck she is drawing the attention to herself. At this point she might as well take it all off in playboy or have gastro-by-pass (sp surgery on the internet. I just think that there are a lot of women that I would put on the list as Good role models before Monica would even come to thought.

I agree Marilyn didn't get as much slcak but I think if it were today it would be very different. She was also a size 14 and thought to have a hot body! Oh how times have changed

Re: Mr. Personality!!
I don't think that Monica is on the show to be any kind of a role model. She is a TV host. In my opinion, the show is stupid (I watched part of it last week and that was enough for me) and if she chooses to be part of that to make money, it's up to her. Personally I feel bad for her. Clinton, who sorely disappointed me after I voted for him twice, gets to go out and make millions for his Presidential memoirs and public appearances. Monica, who was young and dumb and starstruck, will spend the rest of her life knowing that the first thing anyone thinks of when they see her is her foolish behavior. Try to get a regular job with that on your resume. Imagine having to carry that kind of public baggage around with you forever. It takes a lot of guts for her to put herself out there in the public eye knowing that she will be ridiculed no matter what she does. I hope she makes a lot of money and can find something better for herself than hosting shows like this one. But if not..oh well. It's her life.

Re: Mr. Personality!!
I just think that they could have found someone else to host a show. I think its sad that she has made all this money and become some sort of celebrity after the affair with the president. What kind of example is the tv promoting? I would never consider her to be a good role model.
