Dani - Me or Mi (as in Micky) - chal( short a) (emphasis on the second syllable - with the 'ch' sound that Jewish people can make.

Since most people can't do that - Mi - cal (short a) is acceptable

There is not one good way of writing out that sound phonetically!

Shorty - either or - my Israeli relatives typically emphasize the first syllable (Mee)

the funny thing, to me anyway, is that i thought it was either what it actually is, which i love, or prnounced as michael, which i love. im dani, so i have a soft spot for boys names for girls. ( :
