Re: M/U help! What should I do?

Had a Make Up trial last night.. the girl was SOOO nice. [and CHEAP! $80 for airbrush]
Honestly didnt LOVE the make up. I feel like if I directed her more she'd be able to do a better job.
Stupid me tells the girl that i WOULD like to use her.
W T F do I do now? More I think about it, more I dont really want to use her....
Help!
I kinda have the same problem. Had my MU trial and and I liked it but didn't love it. (Mine was $80 too, I wonder if it's the same person?) Anyway, I felt the same way, if I would have given her more direction as far as colors, maybe I would have felt different. Problem is, this is someone I go to regularly for waxing and facials, etc. So I feel terrible. I think she just assumed I was going to definetly use her. I'm going for another trial with someone else tonight, so I'll see how it goes. I may have to use some of the above excuses!!

I would tell her that you have been looking at your budget and have decided that all the little things need to be scaled back because in the big picture- you have overspent a bit. So, you will be doing your own make up on the day of or say you are having an Aunt do it b/c you need to scale back and cut corners.
You can say that you also have to do the same thing with hair, DOJ, and that you can't have the ceremony music you had your heart set on, etc. Just say that and apologize...
Then go to Jacqueline Nicole-- bwuuuahhahahaa!! I'm so evil but she is awesome and I'm sorry- YOU should NOT have to tell a make up artist HOW to apply make up! IMHO, she should be able to look at you and know what looks best.
I didn't have to say a word to Jackie- she looked at me and was like oh I have IT! And did it and then I was able to tweak what I like and disliked or what I felt comfortable with and w/o.
