MUA Awkward?!?!

MUA Awkward?!?!

There is a makeup artist on LIW that does both hair and makeup and I was thinking of just using her for her hair services. This is because I love a different makeup artist (also popular on LIW) and plan on using her for my wedding.

Do you think it would be awkward to have them both there on my wedding day? (Since I'm sure they both know about one another and have equal LIW popularity.) Maybe I'm overthinking things?

Totally understand your concerns but I say go for it. I think its all about using who you want and playing it cool. I'd imagine being transparent will be key. Bottom line, just book who you want to book! I'm sure they'll both be pleased to be booked for their respective services.

my hair person did both hair and makeup. I only used her for hair. It was fine and not ackward at all

I am in the same boat, but I preferred my second makeup trial and didn't want to push a re-trial back to Christmas with the original.

So I booked the hair/makeup lady for hair only

i def wouldnt worry about it. I booked my make up artist and then booked my hair person...and my hair person does hair & makeup but i told her right off the bat i was only interested in hair. she was totally fine with it. and they are both LIW vendors

i wouldn't worry - but make sure to tell her upfront that you already have someone else - otherwise keeping it a secret will be stressful and we dont what that lol

I may have used the same person you are talking about for hair only, and someone else for makeup. We got hair and makeup done in the same room and the were both very nice. I agree that you should probably just make it clear it's just for hair.

I'm sure they'll understand.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. You didn't cancel either of them they both 'got the job' & most of all choose who makes you happy!!
