I know I heard! its sad california is alway's having either earthquakes now mudslides.

Could be but they said it's been raining for days also.

We moved to southern ca. 4 months ago. It's pretty much been raining since christmas, but I think it's related to the tsunami, too. It's finally sunny today and warm but i have never seen so much rain in my life!

DH lived in California for many years growing up (very closeby where the latest mudslides are occurring), and said that mudslides are rather common in CA. So while this *might* be related to the tsunamis, it is also not that far fetched for them to occur

He did say after seeing some of the footage , however, that these mudslides looked worse than he can recall

My uncle lives in CA and my grandmother is out there visiting (has been there since Dec. 4th). Thank God they aren't in the area where this happened but this story was quite scary when I first heard it. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who were effected.
