in one location. How do you guys feel about that? With 2 or more weddings at one location, is there a loss in service to either weddings?
I am just a bit concerned about some of the venues on my list, book 2 or even 3 weddings for the same day
Are brides bumping into each other in the bathroom?
Just a bit concerned, what are your thoughts?

Re: Multiple weddings
Honestly I didn't want a venue with multiple weddings, but it was not in my budget to do a one wedding at a time venue. It depends on the RH if you are bumping into other brides. If you are concerned ask the RH about their wedding time scheduling. You can also ask them how they ensure that brides are not seeing each other. To avoid this you can try and schedule the wedding on an odd day to lessen the chance of the RH having another wedding that day. Keep in mind that the RH may have other parties, but they may not necessarily be weddings. Most RHs have been around a long time and know what they are doing, so I don't think that due to multiple weddings the service or quality will be lacking.

Re: Multiple weddings
It was important to me to have my wedding at a one wedding at a time. There are many reasonably priced venues that do so so definitely shop around. We didnt want to run into other bridesmaids or brides and wanted 100% of the attention! Good luck with your search!

Re: Multiple weddings
Yeah. I guess, but it is kind of weird I hope to be the only bride at my venue of choice, but choosing venues is a job in itself! There are so many!

Re: Multiple weddings
It was important to me to find a hall with one wedding at a time. But not because I was worried about bumping into other brides. I doubt that will happen. They probably keep the parties pretty separate. I was just afraid my wedding would suffer in the service area. I'm not anyone special....what if the other wedding was someone special? Someone with lots of money? Someone famous? There are plenty of places out there one wedding at a time. And it doesn't mean they are more expensive.

Re: Multiple weddings
It all depends on the venue. I have been to weddings where it was one wedding at a time and the food was mediocre and I have been to weddings with more than one wedding at a time and the food was great (fox hollow is a great RH to name one). You the bride, rarely runs into other brides on your day of. The guest on the other hand may run into other guests but who cares! It really depends on depends on the venue you chose. I really liked Chateau despite the fact that they do two weddings around the same time. As long as the food is good and the venue is great, you should be fine!

Re: Multiple weddings
I'm actually having a wedding the same time and place as Corrine .
My wedding starts when her reception does, at 6:30. So I asked the BM whats gonna happen because i was not liking the fact that I'm gonna hear music when FH and I are reciting our vows. He reassured me that they time everything perfectly so while our ceremony is going on theyre doing stuff that makes the minimizes the noise level and for my cocktail hour we have the entire area blocked off. So we have privacy. Other than that you can barely tell theres anything going on downstairs unless you go there. (To check this theory during our taste testing last week, we went to our room while the other room had the dj going and you couldnt hear a thing.)
Ask the bm's what they do to reassure you that you're day is not going to be ruined.

Re: Multiple weddings
i guess it all depends on the venue and the way they handle it....for me after seeing places that did 2 weddings at a time and finding one that only held one weddings at a time...it just made me fall in love with it even more...but i wasnt totally against 2 or more weddings bc that is what i was looking into at first..cause i really didnt know...i think u def will be paying more for being the only wedding...but if you find a place you love that doesn't have only one id say still go for it!!!

Re: Multiple weddings
I really didn't think about it at the time we booked our RH, but I wish I had. I guess I feel in love with the place so that overshadowed any doubts. When I starting thinking about doing a bathroom basket, I realized that someone from another wedding party might use it :( I'll be sharing the area outside for pictures too, but I was assured that we don't get in eachother's ways. I have a feeling that depends on how overbearing or obnoxious the other bride is....I also started getting nervous because part of their cocktail room becomes our reception room. Walls move and tables get changed and set up all in 30 minutes....I have to just keep the faith that they have been doing this for years and they know what they are doing!

Re: Multiple weddings
Im getting married at CLM as well, and the BM assured me that if another wedding was schedualed for the same time is mine i will not see the other bride there. They schedual the start of each wedding at certain times where you will not interact with the other bride. They will a lot a certain amount of time inbetween the 2 where the guests might see eachother from the parties but that is fine. I went to a wedding at Chateau Briand over the summer and I as a guest saw the other bride but the bride from the wedding i was there for never saw her. if the venue knows what they are doing they know that it is very important for Brides not to see eachother and they do their best to prevent it

Re: Multiple weddings
I've honestly been to tons of weddings where there is more than one wedding going on at a tme and it was totally fine. I honestly never heard the other weddings going on.
For our wedding though, we did want somewhere that hosted only one wedding at a time because that was just our preference,

Re: Multiple weddings
My venue can hold two weddings at the same time. But they reassured me that bc I was the first wedding booked that day, they will work around our times to fit the other couple in. Like the ceremony starts at 6 and coctail hour is 630-730. They won't start another wedding ceremony until 7:30pm.

Re: Multiple weddings
Yeah, I don't think it really matters either way. But if you want to be 100% sure that you don't see any other brides/bridal parties, then book a place that only has one event at a time. Don't be deceived by some places that advertise 'one wedding at a time' when in actuality, they could have a wedding and a sweet 16 or a prom the same night. I'd rather have another wedding in the next room than a prom!

Re: Multiple weddings
I think the places that have more then one wedding at a time pretty much have it down to a science and nothing suffers. I would have liked to have one wedding at a time but it wasnt in my budget or my luck on dates. There are so many places that have multiple weddings that are wonderful.

Re: Multiple weddings
it's really a personal choice
FH & I were totally against multiple weddings at a time...him more than me
Most places do space out the times enough so that the brides don't see each other
it also really depends on how the hall is set up
I might be OK with it, if the rooms were separated enough and the bathrooms and other space was separate
i would not be ok with sharing outdoor space or bathrooms tho
the thought of having a sweet 16 and a bunch of bratty kids running around outside or in my bathrooms just erks me
but for some people these are complete non issues...it all depends on the bride!

Re: Multiple weddings
I went to a wine tasting fundraiser on Sunday at Mediterranean Manor
besides the fundraiser there were 2 Wedding receptions going on
and it wasn't bad at all!
The halls were far apart enough that noise interference was an issue
went to the bathroom often (all that whine lol!) and I didn't encounter any crowding issues
I guess it depends on the size of the venue
and the proximity of the halls.

Re: Multiple weddings
Still a hmmm but very valid arguments for both sides
I'm sure it will be fine, as you said they are used to multiple weddings. I'll just let them know up front that I don't stand for mess!

Re: Multiple weddings
I believe mine holds one other wedding at a time. Maybe 2 but that depends on whos have ceremonys there. That makes it less likey. I am not worried. My room is the only one on the first floor besides someones coctail hours but I believe that would be before my wedding anyway. Also we have a bathroom in our bridal suite. Ireally am not worried about seeing another bride. If i did it sure is not going to ruin my day!

Re: Multiple weddings
it was important to us that the venue not only held one wedding a day, but one event.
It's not the end of the world if you you RH takes more than one event at a time, but I like the idea that guests dont have to guess where they should be going. FH and I are notoriously late to Cocktail hours, mainly because he always has to work the day of wedding until like 6:30. I can't tell you how many times we just stood in the entryway trying to find where to go. I'm not saying that this is always the case, but I have experienced it.
We wanted the hall to be ours for the day for our guest to feel 'At home' and not feel like they are contained to a certain area.
