I thought this would be a good thread to remind me of what good songs there are and whatnot. When you go to a wedding, what songs do you LOVE to hear? And which ones do you absolutely despise? I don't know if I should tell the DJ to not do the Macarena or Electric Slide under any circumstances.

Re: Music at Reception?!
This is a tough thing b/c everyone's tastes are different... Personally, if i heard electric slide or macarena I would leave the room!

Re: Music at Reception?!
These are our only must-have songs...
OUr Songs- Eternal Flame - The Bangles Seal - Love's Divine Metallica-Nothing Else Matters Alicia Keyes-If I Ain't Got you
Other than that, I left it up to the band...

Yeah, I hate those cheesy songs. I think I'm going to tell him to not play any of those kind of group dance things like that.

No YMCA, chicken dance, macarana or any other songs that the DJ has to show people how to dance to them...

I also love to hear Sweet home Alabama for some reason LOL. I went to a wedding at the Harrison House in June and they sang that song and I think everyone in the room got up to dance to it...
