Music questions

Hello,
First I would like to say hello and thank you. I am new to this board and the posts I have read so far have been extremely helpful.
We would love a DJ recommendation. We met with spin around sound this weekend and were impressed. Yet still unsure. Can you help our uncertainty? I would love to book a DJ soon to get it settled.
We also met with Dance Jock and Elite Music. We are looking for little interaction and little talk just GREAT music and for our guests to have a blast. Nothing cheesy. A very classy DJ. Should we keep searching?

Hi Susan and welcome to the boards!!!!

We went with Dancejock. They were the DJ for 3 of my girlfriends weddings and we thought they were awesome each time (each girl had a different budget, so we saw them at all levels).

If you do a search, I think a lot of the brides really like Spin Around Sound, also. I don't know anything about Elite Music.

With all vendors - go with your gut instinct. If you like something, book it - if not, move on.

If you want total class, no cheese, and someone who will enjoy doing your wedding and help you through a lot of the music planning, absolutely check out music by michael.

Welcome! I just want to add that I love A. Stan Weist! Check him out besides a band he has a DJ! I would highly reccommend and I don't think you will regret checking him out!

We used Spin Around Sound and absolutely loved working with Tom -- Rob was our DJ and he was great... Absolutely no cheese at all

I booked Music by Michael as well. His website is www.musicbymichael.com. I saw him at two weddings and he was terrific on both occasions. Very down to earth, no hype, and not 'in your face!'

I used SAS - Rob and Rio and they did not talk too much at all and were not cheesy. They sticked to our play list (or the types of music on our play list) and did not play one song that we put on our DO NOT PLAY list. The dance floor was moving from the first song...we watched our video the other day and could not believe how the dance floor had people on it no matter what song they played!

I recommend them.

We just booked Spin Around Sound. We felt very comfortable with Tom and we thought he would provide exactly what we were looking for. Like you we wanted someone low key who but who kept the dance floor packed. Tom really worked with us.

Im another music by michael bride! We met with Tom from spin around sound also and we liked him too. you have to go with your gut, and with whomever you feel most comfortable

We are using Dance Jock also. We saw them at another wedding 3 years ago and its the only thing I remember about the wedding. I was so impressed that people were dancing the whole time, I think we even forget to stop for dinner. LOL

I am on the search as well. I met w/ Spin Around Sound and Tom is the nicest person. They were a bit out of our budget. I also really like Get In Tune- Glen - he's on this sight as well, if you go to disc jockey's..
