Musicians for Cocktail Hour

Hi all,

I was wondering how much does it cost to get someone or a group of people to play music (like a harp or a string quartet or something) for a cocktail hour?

Trying to see if we can sneak it into out budget... FM me if you feel more comfortable.

I am a musician, so I can tell you to expect to pay 100-200 dollars an hour per person. You may have to pay a traveling fee if they are coming from far away or have a large instrument like a harp. Also, if there is specific music that you are requesting that the musician(s) don't already have, you may have to pay a fee for that. But usually you only pay for that if it's some weird, imported version. They can be very pricey. If you don't want to spend that much money, then you can hire students who will do it for about 50 dollars an hour or for free. I have flute students who play for weddings, and they charge 50 per hour, per person. They are great, though, and in my opinion, should charge much more But I'm bias Hope that helped.
