Must play/do not play song lists??
I have seen this done before (actually have some print outs), but there are always new people with fresh ideas so I figured I would throw it out again. We are meeting with our dj on Sat, and we need to give him our lists.

Re: Must play/do not play song lists??
I have a very detailed DO NOT play list and a 'Songs we really like' list. I want the band to judge the crowd and play what they think is best- as long as it is not on my DO NOT play list which included Mariah Carey songs, Celine Dion songs, I will Surive (love the song, hate it at a wedding), Electric Slide, Congo line stuff etc...

I am working on mine this weekend. I am sure it will be pretty extensive although we also want the DJ to judge the crowd.DO NOT PLAY - Shout, Mony, Mony, B-52's, anything by Britney or boy bands

Re: Must play/do not play song lists??
All of the above plus NO Madonna at my wedding. I don't care how good the female lead in my band is, no one has any rights trying to copy an already bad vocal job. This includes Holiday, Like a Virgin, and for the love of God, VOGUE.On the definate play list is anything Sinatra, Earth Wind and Fire (just gets a party going), Billy Joel ballads (Just The Way You Are), Donna Summer (Just not Last Dance), and Beatles!
