Is it necessary to do a must play/DO NOT play list for the DJ? I know what type of music I don't want to hear but do I need to do a formal list??

Re: Must Play List - DJ
I didn't give much of a play/don't play list, I trust my DJ to platy whatever people are dancing to! I just gave a few do not plays that I really don't want to hear. HTH

Re: Must Play List - DJ
my FH is a DJ and he always gives the bride & groom the opportunity to make a list... we create CDs for them and keep them available
but he only winds up playong about 50% of whats on their list... you have to trust that your DJ can feel out a crowd and know what will get them up & dancing.
HOWEVER... its always good to have a MUST play list... incase the DJ doesnt have a certain song to begin with, this will ensure he/she gets it for you.

Re: Must Play List - DJ
I only gave the DJ songs I had to hear and the ones I absolutely DID NOT want to hear. I really felt that he is the professional not me, so I for the most part let him do his thing. I gave him full reign over DH and I's entrance...and he did a fantastic job!
