We danced to this song last year at my cousin's wedding in Orlando. It's a great 'feel-good' song.

Awesome list! A great variety of everything. A few of my songs are on this list.

Must Play Song Lists

The band we booked does a REALLY fun cover of 'This Is How We Do It' by Montell Jordan, so that's on our must-play list! Also 'Runaround Sue' because that's FH's song with his younger sister (they used to listen to it together when they were really little).

WOW that list is helpful! It's tough picking a list because the music FH and I tend to like is not exactly....dancing music. It errs on the side of low-key and somewhat indie. Definitely wouldn't get people up and dancing! But I also want to stay true to who we are as a couple... tough balance.

I've started a 'Do Not Play' list to give to my band. I pretty much trust whoever I book to play good dancing music, but if I have to hear Gangnam Style or At Last (I know I'm gonna get slack for that one but it's so overdone and no one does it as well as Etta James) or Umbrella once more, I might scream!! Lol

I thought I was the only one that didn't like Etta James 'At Last'. My friends told me I was crazy. Another song I'm not soo in love with is 'Always & Forever' by Heatwave. LOL ;o)

I pretty much don't like most 'classic' songs. Not because they're not good songs, but because they're overdone. I also don't like the trendy songs like Gangnam Style. Although I do like Call Me Maybe and the Macarena, I don't necessarily want them at my wedding.

I agree they are overdone. Another one I don't want to hear is Luther Vandross' 'Hear & Now'. LOL I love 'Call Me Maybe'. My colleagues thought I was crazy for liking that Carly Jepsen song. LOL I do love more modern duets like 'If I Aint Got You' remix by Alicia Keys & Usher. ;o) But one classic I did love as a kid is 'If You Say my Eyes are Beautiful' by Whitney Houston & Jermaine Jackson.
