My 10/12 wedding review!! VERY LONG

Hi everyone!
Aside from the really awful day weather-wise, my wedding was really successful. We were married at the Queens County Farm Museum in Floral Park-the ceremony and reception were both held there. We were supposed to get married outside in this large gazebo-but that didn't happen. Instead, we opted to get married on our dance floor with our guests seated at their tables. Our wedding was a Italian themed event and semi-formal. The down side to the whole thing is we had to decorate the barn ourselves. However, the barn looked really magical-lots of white lights and candles and was really intimate.
Here are some of our vendor reviews:
Queens County Farm-I recommend them if you're looking for a unique location. The grounds are so beautiful. They rented out the property to us for $900.00-which included use of their brand new commercial kitchen.
Caterer, Iavarone Brothers: They were EXCELLENT. Our food was the most amazing thing!! Everyone was raving about it. We had a huge cocktail hour, a buffet dinner of 10 entrees and 3 sides, plus cake, pastries, cookies, full open bar. We paid $83.00 pp-which included tax and gratuity.
Photographer, Danielle Katz: We found her on theknot.com. When we met with her, we were really blown away by her work. She's a photojournalist and her stuff is incredible. I don't have our proofs back yet-but we can't wait! She's really great to work with-very un-obtrusive.
DJ, High Energy Entertainment: We were working with Ralph, the owner. We had seen them at other weddings and they were great. However, there was some sort of emergency and Ralph couldn't make it initially. The replacement DJ didn't have the info we had given Ralph so DH spent some time reiterating everything right up until the ceremony. I had burned a CD of pre-ceremony music I have wanted but when I was standing outside waiting to go in, I heard Kenny G blaring. Oh well. But, for the most part-everyone seemed to enjoy the music and the dance floor was never empty.
Video, Dave from High Energy Entertainment: We requested just digital raw footage. He was very good-you didn't even know he was there! He handed the tapes over at the end of the night. Peter is in the creative industry so now he can edit tapes himself.

I'll try to post some amateur photos and will post again once I get my proofs back!

Congratulations!! Our friends got married that day. I remember the downpour as we were running to the car. I'm glad the weather didn't ruin your day and everything was perfect. Can't wait to hear the rest of the review and see pictures!
