My 11/16 wedding review (VERY LONG!)
Hey guys... I am back from Aruba and have to say that aside from the Nor'Easter we had on that Saturday, the wedding went perfectly.
Hair & Make-up- Fox & Company Salon, Floral Park- where I used to go for my haircuts before I moved to New Jersey. Pam did the make-up AWESOME JOB! Lisa did the hair... even in the nasty weather, I never had to touch it! I met JenHos there too, we were both getting our hair done! HA! RATING-10
Flowers- Spitz & Peck (Huntington Location) I worked with Richard. He totally understood my budget, and the flowers were exactly as I wanted them. Except my bouquet... when it arrived it was missing the burgundy calla lilies and it had orange roses instead of the leonidas roses. It was a simple change and I didn't even stress about it. The guy took it back, no questions asked, and returned with it in an hour. It was perfect after that. RATING-9
Photographer- Classic Look Photography- Worked with James. They were great. Really worked with the rain. He never once pulled us out of the reception. We got to attend our whole cocktail hour and reception. They were awesome. Can't really rate without seeing the proofs, but that day they were a 10.
Videographer- Multi-Media Productions- Holden was great. I barely noticed him all night. Can't wait to see the finished product! That day he was a 10.
Limos- Royalty- They were great! Cars were clean and early. The 47 Caddy was a great choice... very roomy. My only complaint was that because it was such an old car, and it was raining there was no defrost, so the driver had to keep the window open to see! Not their fault at all, though. IT was still great, and I was so high off the day that I didn't even care. The driver of the car for the bridal party was like a commandant, ordering me around, but in a good way so I wouldn't ruin my dress or hair. She was fantastic! Wrapped my dress up like a little package and got me going. RATING 9.5
Finally.... Crest Hollow Country Club- I can't say anything negative about it. Everyone is RAVING about the Food and Service. It was unbelievable. They had everything orchestrated so well, we didn't even have to think. Out Maitre'd was RAlph, and he was great. My bridal assistant was Sandra... she was a huge help. Got us anything we needed, carried around my train for me when I was walking around, and bustled my dress in about 1 minute flat! When we pulled up to the Crest Hollow, they were waiting on the steps for us, and opened the door and said... 'Welcome Kristine and Mike! Congratulations on your wedding!' It was so weird! They treated us like a King and Queen. And brides, don't worry, I NEVER saw another bride and I know that there were at least 2 there. We were in the Suburban room for the reception and it looked so beautiful. We had the Empire room (which is the other half of the Suburban room) for the cocktail hour. Even though it is exactly the same, they decorated it so beautifully that you wouldn't even know it. They draped some tulle with white lights from the ceiling and it looked so pretty! The food was fantastic. We saw all the passed hors devoures (sp?). I only got to taste one piece of chicken marsala, but it was heaven.
At the dinner we had the pineapple fruit cup (so fresh and delicious) caesar salad-never got to eat it- and choice of Prime Rib, Chicken stuffed with spinach and fontina cheese, and Salmon. The portions were HUGE. I only got to eat about 2 bites of the chicken, but it was delicious. We got the cake that is included and it looked beautiful with the flowers from S&P decorating the top of it. It was gorgeous!!! We had chocolate with fudge filling. It was not bad, not the best cake I ever ate. The ice-cream dessert was to die for though.

DJ- Big Hits Entertainment- we had Jeff as MC, and he was great. Not annoying, but kept the crowd going. The only complaint was that they didn't play the polka for Mike's parents, but no biggie. The dance floor was packed all night. Rating 9.5
Overall it was a perfect day. Marred only by the rain, but we didn't even let it bother us. I thought I would have been very upset by it, but it was the HAPPIEST day of my life!
