~*~My 1st QOTD - 10/5/09~*~

Original post by FutureMrsKuehne

First I want to thank Letizia for choosing me!!!!! It's been a LONG time coming, and I'm so happy to finally be BOTW!!!!! Thank you so much!! And I have to say, your questions were so unique and fun and I hope my creativity this week can come half as close to yours!!!!

SoOoOoOooo for the first QOTD (which is SO LATE cuz of course the day I'm picked BOTW I couldn't get online until NOW lol)....

Besides your's and FH's opinions during the planning process, whose opinions do you most repsect and welcome? And whose could you really do without??

Okay, so sometimes I don't even really care for FH's opinions depending on what part of planning it is (i.e. Flowers!! which he really doesn't care to share anyway lol).

But I'd have to say I go to my parents (mom mostly) for opinions on EVERYTHING!!! Even if I end up going a different way than she suggests, I feel like I just HAVE to know what she thinks about everything we've been doing....so my parents are the most respected welcomed opinions for me. SOMETIMES, and i mean sometimes, FMIL...mostly when it comes to what she's paying for, otherwise I don't really ask. Also, someone else I go to alot for advice, or just to share planning ideas with is my Godmother...she is SO creative, and loves to hear all of the details!

The people I care least for their opinions are random people that aren't involved in the least!! Like people at work, who will tell me, 'what do you need that for?' or 'who cares, its only a few hours!' If I don't come to you specifically for advice, I really don't care if you don't agree with how I'm planning my wedding!!!

My parents are both deceased so we have been heavily relying on our BF's opinions.

Congrats on BOTW my fellow Watermill Bride!!

I value my FHs opinion when it comes from him. SOMEtimes however, it does not come from him.

The person whose opinion I value the least is my FMIL. She has been insisting on inviting someone, and did it right in front of that persons daughter!! If you're paying for it, go ahead, otherwise, shuuuush!!! There is no need for the mother of someone in the bridal party to be invited unless there is a really close bond with the B, G, or even FMIL (which there is not!) I would invite a different mother of a BM because I have at least some form of a relationship with her despite long distances. I've seen this other woman once at her house, she's never been to our house. I'm just not doing it.....................unless of course I'm really far from my minimum.

congrats Gina!

for me too is my mom. I tell her everything! I mean we sit on the phone each time for over and hr and a half and just chatter away about every single detail of the wedding. at 1st FH was a bit annoyed about me telling her everything, now he used to it and asks what my mom said about that thing or other LOL
and of course u girls! my LIW family. I even start convos w/FH and my mom with: 'well the girls say ______'

I could do w/o my family's stupid comments of why we're spending so much, how much time we still have and bla bla bla
keep it to urself ppl!

Gina I'm glad you are happy with your nomination...it only seemed natural for me! :)

As for the qotd. I do care about FH's opinion but mostly listen to my mom. FH's parents are minimally involved. When they have made recommendations in the past they were big flops and I learned my lesson...but ultimately my opinion wins!

I have consulted with my parents on almost all decisions. They are contributing a lot to the wedding, so want to make sure they are happy with the decisions.

Good question

Definitely my sisters, mom, dad and close friends. But it also depends lol because sometimes FH opinion doesn't matter if is something I have my mind set on.

I always tell my mom my plans & what I've seen/heard of...and she always gives me ideas but I rarely use them lol. Seriously...she e-mails me pics and shyt all day long. Nobody else really offers their opinions ( I guess I'm pretty lucky actually) FMIL doesn't really ask anything...although I don't really see her too often any way. FH just says, 'you're gonna do what you want anyway so...' So I guess it's basically my mom & you girls

I love to hear and appreciate my friend Lisa's opinions. I was her MOH 2 yrs ago, so she knows what she's doing and she keeps me grounded. But I've been listening to everyone's opinions...FH and I just make our own decisions.

I could do without fsils opinion... no one cares what she says... shes sooo annoying. I value my cousin Saras opinion, shes my MOH and so level headed

Definitely my mom and sister. My sister got married two years ago, so she's an expert. I dont' know what I would do without them

The person whose opinion I value the most and least is actually the same person. Weird to say but I value FMIL's opinion the most when it comes to the details because I love her taste. At the same time, I value it the least when it comes to certain things, like for seating arrangements, guest list etc because I totally disagree with her and she is very pushy with her opinions. Does that make any sense

Of course my MOMMY!!!!!!!!! I love her taste and definitely need to know what she thinks of everything and of course FH too I don't want him to feel like his opinion doesn't matter although he'll probably say the opposite but really though it upsets me especially when people say to his face that it's my wedding and what he wants doesn't matter because I'm sooo not even like that...it's not just my wedding it's both of ours and I want him to be just as happy!!

By far I value my sister's(MOH) and my mother's opinion.

Sometimes I feel as though I can do without my FH's opinion...he really has no clue with somethings

Mostly he has good ideas though!
