My 37 week sono

I went for my last sono today to check the baby's weight. She's BIG! I am 37 weeks and she is seven pounds 15 ounces. I haven't dropped yet nor am I dilated. So with two and a half weeks till my due date she can gain another two pounds. I am getting anxious about delivering her. Any suggestions or words of encouragement would go really well right about now. Thanks I should add that my dh and I are very pleased that she is healthy and doing very well.

My cousin was a 12 pound baby 21 incehes long . Delievered Naturally My aunt was 90 pounds and wore a size 0 when she got pregnant!

Sounds like a healthy baby! Conrats!

Remember that this late in the pregnancy sonograms are not an accurate measure of weight. Typically they can go 1 pound in either direction!

I'm sure you'll do fine! Sounds very healthy!

I was going to say the same thing. When I had my sono at 38 weeks with my son, they induced me becasue they said the baby was over 9 lbs. He was actually 8.1 when he was born.

Thanks for your encouraging words! I am feeling less anxious today. It's weird one minute I am scared of the thought of going through childbirth but the next minute I am so excited and eager to have my little girl. Pregnancy brings on such an array of emotions.

WOW. 12 pounds...my brother was almost 10 when he was born and I thought THAT was a lot.
