My 4/26/02 Wedding at Flowerfield
This is way overdue....I don't post often, but I read this site for a year every day, and got a lot of ideas and advice! my favorite thing was when people posted about their day w/vendor reviews, so here goes........Flowerfield-I think it goes without saying, people have said great things here over and over, but it was amazing. I loved the place from the minute I saw it! The service is impeccable, our guests raved! food, cocktail hour, awesome!
Band-Bodyheat. I don't read to much about them here, but when we first saw them, we knew they were by far the best we'd seen, and they didn't disappoint! I didn't even give them a play list, and they were great! Our guests loved them!
Flowers-Burton's-They were beautiful! I wasn't sure about some choices, they made suggestions and it was perfect.
My dress-Bridal Reflections carle place......everything went great!
BM dresses-Burton's bridal, again, the best prices around, and everything went well.
Limos-T&R Limos-The only thing we had a little bit of an issue with. one limo had practically nonexistent air cond..my friend used them 2 months later, in June and it still wasnt fixed. They weren't the best in general, not horrible, but i wouldnt recommend them....
Photographer-Visual Image(merrick). my Husband worked there in college, they did a great job, i got my proofs and we love them.
Hair-my local hairdresser, she's great
makeup-Sandy O's in Cold spring harbor, she's wacky, but does a good job!
I forget what else, but we had good weather, and it seemed on that day that there was nothing to worry about, because Flowerfield (esp my bridal attendant!) took care of everthing! you don't even need an emergency kit.....they have everything there! she cleaned a stain off my dress...and was sooooooo attentive! ok....i'll stop now. good luck to everyone!

Congrats!! Hope your enjoying every minute of your new married life. I remember the weather that day, simply because I'm one year later! My FH and I actually went around scoping places for pictures that day! I just hope to have the same good fortune as you the same time next year.Post pics if/when you can. Best wishes!

I am so glad to hear that your wedding was wonderful. I am getting married at Flowerfield in april of next year. How were the grounds in april? Were there flowers and were the fountains on? Just curious. I would love to see pics too, if you have them. All the best to you and your new hubby!

Re: My 4/26/02 Wedding at Flowerfield
i am terrible with the computer...i was trying to insert 2 pics that i have on disc of us at Flowerfield, but they are so big!! i could attach the file, and preview it, and it was a huge picture, so when i tried to go ahead and post, it wouldn't let me. i can't figure out how to shrink the pictures!!!

If you open the picture in Imaging or some other graphic program try to go to save as and save it as a jpg file. Jpg's use up the lease amount of space.Hope this helps....
