My 8/17 wedding review

Hello all! Here's my review on what seemed like the HOTTEST day of the summer!

Old Field Club: NO complaints! For Teri & those at OFC worried about having enough to eat during the cocktail hour, there is plenty! We had added the carving & wok station, and wanted to add one more, but Tim assured us it was plenty. He was right. Everyone kept complimenting the food throughout. The place was beautiful. Tim really works with you to get everything done. We tipped the staff 1/2 in the beginning, and the other at the end. They kept coming around to ask for drinks, etc so we think that splitting the tip helped 'motivate!' They even helped us load the car at the end of the night

Rev Joe & Judy: Moving ceremony. Everyone complimented them.

Create A Cake Bakery: we were very happy with the cake, and cookies.

Sugar Magnolias: Heidi did a great job. The flowers were fantastic! we would highly recommend her.

Long Island Sounds DJ: Chris kept everyone dancing from the first song on. We had asked him to stay away from songs you hear at every wedding, (celebration, conga, electric slide, etc) and he did. We were very happy with him.

Jeffery Studio: Haven't seen anything yet. Teri got all the shots we wanted, and she was very quick, not hounding you all the time. We took our pictures ahead of time. We were one those couples who wanted to do it 'traditionally' and take the pictures afterwards. We were persuaded, and it was the best decision we made. I would definitely recommend it to all brides.

Although the hot weather has ended, I would encourage all of those taking pictures ahead of time to bring a cooler with drinks, soda, etc to give to everyone. We thought since we were taking pictures at the place, we could just go inside the hall to get them. (we had asked this ahead of time) But with everyone needed for pictures, it was hard to get someone to run inside. We spent what seemed like a lot of time (probabley not!) waiting for one person to come back. A cooler right next to you will keep everyone happy!

Like what every other bride has said, ENjoy it! It goes by so quick. I don't even think I ate that much, but everyone keeps telling us what a great time they had. That's makes us so happy. Good luck to everyone!

Sounds beautiful, I grew up in Port Jeff & I can remember watching weddings @ OFC when I was a kid leaving the beach-I think it's one of the most romantic spots on Long Island. I'm so glad your day was great, can't wait to see pics!
