My 8/25/01wedding at the Coral House

I am now a Mrs.! I cannot believe it is over the day went by so fast. I did not want the night to end. We had great weather that Sat. it was not humid and had a cool breeze. My ceremony was at the lake behind the Coral House and it was decorated so beautifully. I cried through my vows and I had a dove release that was beautiful. Anyone having a dove release you are making a great choice. Everyone was in AW when the doves were released. The day was magical and I looked like princess. My makeup artist was spectacular. I didn't go for the natural look and was kind of afraid the he would overdo the look that I wanted. But he made me look better than what I had imagined. My mom cried when I came out of the bedroom all dressed. There were three weddings and the guests from the other weddings were taking pictures of me. They said I was the most beautiful bride that they had ever seen. That made me feel good. My dress was a Maggie Sottero- lace up corset and tulle ball gown skirt. I added rhinestones to the tulle and my accessories were so shiny. I looked like a million bucks. The reception was nice everyone danced the night away. I didn't have time to enjoy my dinner because I was too busy greeting guests. I heard the food was very good, except for the chicken. Noone liked the chicken, but others raved about the beef and the fish. The only problem I had with the Coral House was that they rushed things. They put out the salad and a minute later they were taking the plates away and serving dinner, then they took the plates and served dessert. I wished they would have made things look a little relaxed instead of rushed. Overall it was a day to remember. We had a few glitches throughout the day that was nerve wrecking. But nothing could take away from our lovely day. I tried to relax and enjoy it all and not think of the negative. Believe me things will go wrong, just try to relax. My Fh at the time, was supposed to get a navigator limo and instead they sent a coach bus. But He said it turned out being really nice. I was supposed to have a steel pan playing at my ceremony to walk down the isle and they did not show up. My cousin ended up singing with no music and it turned out just as nice. After the cocktail hour I found out because the maid of honor was trying to hide it from me that the DJ was not there and we were getting ready to go into the reception with NO MUSIC. Can you imagine the frustration when I found out. We had to stall the reception and extend the cocktail hour, the Coral House really helped us out so that our guests did not realize what was going on. The D.J finallly arrived and we were introduced as husband and wife. My advise to the future brides is to relax and take time to soak everything in. Enjoy your day because it goes by quickly. Good Luck to you! And thanks again for the great advise. Oh, and Cancun was beautiful! We had a great time and great weather. Very hot. The Moon Palace was so grand and had the best service and food. They had honeymoon shirts and a candlelight dinner prepared the first night that we were there. We also had someone play music at our table. It was beautiful. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask! Diva11236

Dove Release- which company?

Congrats! I plan on doing a dove release and was wondering which company you used and how many doves? Wedding Wings has either 10 or 20. Thanks and congrats again!

Dove Release-

The Dove release cost $100.00 for twelve birds. Two love birds released by bride and groom and then a set of 10 doves followed. There is also 20 doves for $200.00. I used Frank from Wedding Wings and he was terrific and recommended from the brides on this board. Good Luck to anyone using them, it was memorable. Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. Diva11236

When in ceremony did you release doves?

I was planning to do it after kissing but I'm not sure now since Frank said they come out slowly. How did you incorporate it into your ceremony? Was 10 birds enough for pictures? His number is 631 289-6473

When in ceremony did you release doves?

Actually Fallbride, Before the minister pronounced us man and wife he introduced my cousin who did a reading of the significance of the dove release. After the reading the doves were released, we were then pronounced husband and wife and then we kissed. Hope that helps!
