My 9/6/03 Wedding Review

I must begin with those famous words - I couldn't have imagined or dreamed my wedding day any better than it truly was. It was an amazing day, that, unfortunately, sped by at the speed of light

From waking up in the morning to the most magnificent weather, everything went just as I'd hoped.

Make Up/Hair - Jennifer @ Fairytale A+
She was wonderful. I had 2 trials with her and she was patient and extremely good at taking what I asked and creating the perfect look. She came to my house and did myself and one BM and if I do say so myself

we looked great!

Florist - James Cress B-
For those of you that saw my past posts about James Cress you know that I was having problems making my appt's with them and having the owners son (who I'd been dealing with) call me back. I had considered firing them. However, I went with them and much to my dismay all my BM bo-k's and bout's came WRONG WRONG WRONG! It was OK though - I knew to be calm

I called them and they came to my house and fixed them as close as they could to what I wanted. It turned out OK, but unnecessary stress. I was worried that my centerpieces would be awful, but was happy to see when I got to the hall that they were perfect.

Limo's - M&V D
Plain and simple, I should've listened to the people that had bad experiences. The Escalade I got was NOT the one they own that we had booked - it was falling apart and still had hand prints on the glass and spilled drinks (I hope) sticky on the floor. And they wouldn't do a thing for us! The driver was great, which is why they didn't get an F, but I truly believe they should've done something when we called to complain.

Dresses - Bridal Reflections/Carle Place A/D
The 'A' is for my dress and service which was wonderful. The people there can be slightly snobby, but my dress looked beautiful.
The 'D' is for my BM's alterations. They did an AWFUL job on the 3 girls that actually used them for alterations. It was a terrible scene and again, they did nothing for us.

Doug was great! I was so happy to get him and the day of the wedding he was AMAZING and funny and took some really beautiful shots. I had my proofs back 9 days later which I thought was wonderful and am going next week to do my album! He's actually even told me he's going to use some of my shots for the website!!!

The video won't be in for a long time yet, but Evan and Kevin were great. I interacted mostly with Evan and I have to say he is one of the nicest people I've ever met!!!

DJ - TGIF A+
What can I say -- Mike did an AWESOME job, my dance floor was CONSISTENTLY packed and he really kept the party going. I keep receiving compliments on how excellent he and his 2 asst's were. I recommend him 100%!!! BOOK HIM!!

Staitionary/baskets - LA PRODUCTIONS A+
Laura is the most amazingly creative person I've ever met in my life. She too took my ideas and turned them into a BEAUTIFUL product! I've continued to keep in touch with her and think she is truly the most talented person I've ever met. USE HER - you will NOT regret it!

Create-A-Cake A+
They created the EXACT cake I had asked and it was delicious!!! Wonderful, wonderful place!

GIORGIOS - A+
I could go on and on and write 70 paragraphs about every aspect of my night, but the end result is THEY WERE INCREDIBLE! Every staff member, my asst. Tracy, the bar staff, EVERYONE was incredible. The food was plentiful and unbelieveable, there was never a line at the bars, the room is amazing, the view is outstanding, etc etc etc.. BOOK THEM!!!!

Honeymoon - Sandals Royal Bahamian C
Wouldn't go again. It is NOT at all like the brochures. We had a great time together but it wasn't what we thought it would be. The one nice thing was the view

our room overlooked the ocean, the pool and one of the gazebos where they perform marriage ceremonies!!! So all day and night we watched people marry from our balcony and it was actually truly wonderful.

And I think that about covers it. For all my honesty in the review, I never noticed the problems until after the day was over. It was like I was floating on a cloud the whole day. The one or two cons were truly covered up by all the pros. It was an amazing day and if I had to do it all over again - I would do it exactly the SAME WAY!

Congrats!!!! So sorry that you had a bad experience with James Cress. I LOVED them. I dealt with th efather. I herad soam bad things about the other store in Port Jeff. where the son works.
Cant wait to see oics
