My 9/28 wedding review (long)
Here goes my big review!
I need to begin with something sad, but may put things in perspective. One of my bridesmaids, who I have been friends with for 15 years or so, couldn’t be in my wedding because her mom, who was sick with colon cancer, had gone downhill. She ended up dying on my wedding day. I didn’t find out until I was in Aruba, but I was so sad not to have her there and then not to be able to be there for her. It really made me stop and soak up my wonderful day and honeymoon, and hug and kiss my husband a few more times…so I could really realize how lucky I am…….
With that said, let me begin my review.
Rehearsal dinner: Bonwit Inn in Commack. We had a private room upstairs. Wonderful service and food.
Hair: Bocu in Commack. Christy did my hair and all my girls got theirs done there to. Christy was wonderful. She did a great job. All my ladies looked great!
Flowers: Spitz and Peck. My flowers were gorgeous!! Everyone raved about them. They were on time and nice and efficient and I had no problems with them. They did forget to put coffee berries in my girls bouquets, but I didn’t make a fuss.
Photographer/Video: Renaissance Studios in Smithtown. Absolutely fabulous! They weren’t intrusive. Lots of energy, but not annoying. I’ll see how my pics came out.
Limo and bus: Coachman. I need to post about this at a later time. Basically, they had grease on the tire, which got on my dress, and we had to go to a drycleaners to see if it could get it out. It was all over me….I was very calm…quite the trooper. The woman there pinned my dress under and we put baby powder on it to absorb the grease. I am sending them a letter to see what they say. I will give them the benefit to own up to it….I’ll keep you posted.
Tuxes: Rogers in Smithtown..no problems!
Christ the king Church: Beautiful and perfect ceremony!
String Quartet: Hearstrings! FABULOUS! Church and cocktail. Very fair price.
Band: Phoenix. I cannot say anything more than PERFECT for my band. She learned our song. “ Anyone at All” by Carole King. Tonie Anne and Vinny were so great to work with. My guests raved about them.
PORT JEFFERSON COUNTRY CLUB was absolutely wonderful! The staff was great, the food was great, my tab;es were great..even with last minute changes! They were so wonderful to deal with….and people raved about the food!! Any PJCC questions, feel free to ask.
I’ll posts pics as soon as I have them, and a review of Aruba….
