For xmas FH bought me the jewlery jet to steam my e-ring. I am addicted to it. It is awesome.
first I clean my ring in a amonia, dish soap and water mixture and clean with a soft toothbrush then I steam away. It comes out brand new!!!
After a week of teaching, my ring is so cloudy and dirty and this makes it shiney again!!
I LOVE IT!!
Anyone else have one?

Are you sure that the ammonia would break down the ring or the diamond? My ring is platinum and I am so scared that I will ruin it by cleaning it with anything. I dont want to give it to a jeweler to clean it though so the home recipe is something great to share! Thanks and help!
it wont. i was told to do this by my cousins brother in law who FHpurchased my ring from and who is a jeweler. my whole family does it. But you could always check with a jeweler if you are scared.

no but i definately need something like that..how much is that? I know what you mean also..my ring gets cloudy too and each week i clean it..but i've been using the jewerly cleaner the stores sell..but is that safe?
It's called the jewlery jet.
I looked online and found it for $100 dollars.
But if you don't want to spend the money.. seriously put amonia, water and dish soap in a glass (you can even heat it in the micro for 20 sec) then soak your ring. then clean it with a soft toothbrush... you will be amazed how it sparkles!!!!
ooh.. i may need to invest in one.. I'm going to always want my e-ring and wedding band clean
