Check the BBB site before going to ANY store to buy something major or before using ANY vendor. I have seen so many brides on here, including myself, having major problems with a store or vendor and 9 times out of 10 there are complaints against them on BBB. It is stressful enough planning a wedding without having to deal with stores and vendors that don't value their customers.

If you go onto the BBB website, you can enter any business name, phone number or dba and info will come up on them. VERY good post!!!

so true!
I wish I would have done that! It would have saved me a lot of grief during the weeks leading up to my wedding.

Just want to add, Make sure you have the company's EXACT FULL NAME!! When I did a search before my wedding, nothing came up, I thought oh great, well after the wedding and after I got screwed, I looked up their website and in tiny print at the bottom they had another name that they truly were!!!

Yes, beware of companies who are really under one name but advertise as another... you will see... DOA... which means Doing Business As. I had that problem with a cell-phone store... NWR.
