My attempt at Programs tonight

Ok, the red ones came out really nice, I bought some silver paper today bc I didn't have enough paper for all my programs, the silver didn't come out that great, the printing isn't as vibrant, and what also is getting me upset is that the printing isn't coming out nicely on the vellum, its all smudgy...anyone have any suggestions, I put the vellum over the actual program, and just printed the cover on the actual paper (does this make any sense..) But as for the alternating colors, the printing is coming out amazingly on the red, pink and white....silver will be for the extras that I need...

Here are some pics....

Resizing pics.....

Re: My attempt at Programs tonight

ugh programs are such an ordeal...

ray tried making some for me but he's just not working with my 'vision'!!!!

we're using vellum too, i think just as an overlay and are printing the actual ink on the paper we bought...

not looking foward to this!

Re: My attempt at Programs tonight

But does the vellum cover up the actual printing, my vellum I think is too opaque....Don't let ray mess with your vision!!!! ;)

Re: My attempt at Programs tonight

yeah i see what you're saying...it is covering it up....agree with you, LOOKS GORGEOUS IN RED!!! now i wish i bought red instead of cream!!!! that's the hotness right there

ray is totally messing with my vision. you've gotta see what he sent me as a 'test program'
i gotta hand it to him, he's trying to help me out, but seriously, i'm going to have to handle the crafty tasks from now on!!!

he used a pretty boring template, and when i said he put no actual creative effort into it, he said he searched for it for a 1/2 an hour.

MEN!!!

Re: My attempt at Programs tonight

OH and just a suggestion....what about using a red bow on the red programs? can i see how it printed on the vellum? maybe you can print it on both and it'll have like a shadow effect....

I was thinking that with the vellum, but the thing is it printed on the vellum very grainy....and it just looks ugh....let me take a pic of how it printed on the vellum, and you'll see, not sure if you'll see the graininess on the pic, but you can take my word for it...The reason why I did a white bow, is bc i'm doing alternating colors of pink, red, and white, so I figured white would just tie all them togher, oh yah and the silver ones that the suckers will get...
Can you believe Brian asked me the other day what programs were..at least Ray knows WHAT they are!!!!

going to take a pic

Re: My attempt at Programs tonight

Ok, here are the pics of the vellum, I tried putting it over with the program with it printed to try the shadow effect and it didn't work, but now I'm thinking what if I printed it in a grey...on the vellum, it wouldn't look as grainy and that would create a shadow effect no??

Re: My attempt at Programs tonight

You probably know this already, but you need a laser printer to print on vellum. If not it will smudge. They look great! I like the idea!!

Re: My attempt at Programs tonight

I'm still working on mine, but I'll charge you and do them next..ha ha..just kidding, seriously I'll help you...I'm going to add some things on the front, like there is a very sacred saying during the jewish marriage ritual that I want to write encircling our names which is ' I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine..' I think its a bit too bare in the front
