Can you believe her? She said she has to have 'emergency carpel tunnel surgery'. Does that seem real? I am never talking to her again.
Just needed to vent girls.

I feel you on this...my grandparent aren't coming and this is how i found out. My RSVP cards are adressed to me, I have a nAunt that still lives with my grandparents. She wrote on her Rsvp (1) and her name, on the top of the card it said Mr & Mrs so and so will be unable to attend. Is that really how you tell me Mr & Mrs. She could have wrote something sweet, or how about a phone call from either one of them!!! It's like hello I rather of you not came to my shower or e-party! It's my Dads mom and he had no clue that she wasn't even coming he is mad as well.

I am sorry if it makes you feel better my FH's god parents repsonded yes to the wedding that their whole family will be there.
Now they can't make it, because his godfather has a conference... So his Godmother and cousin can't come...

We wrote them off too...

But atleast you found out a month and a half before the wedding.. We found out last week, the wedding is this Sunday, Needless to say the plates are paid for

I'm so sorry - both of my god parent's bailed out of my wedding as well! It really does su*ck, but the bottom line - those that want to be there with you celebrating, will!

If it makes u feel any better! Toms best friend (my daughters godfather) sent his reply card back # attending 0 ...and wrote sorry!!!!!!!! *** .....didnt even give the consideration of a phone call!!!!!!!!

I'm confused as to why her emergency surgery is going to prevent her from going to a wedding in a month.. if its really an emergency, shouldn't it be done now?

I'm sorry, it's horrible when family does things like this. I'm in the same boat, my uncle whom is also my Godfather isn't coming. He talks a good game but I know I'll receive that rsvp with the big NO at the last minute. My Aunt and pretty much all of my cousins aren't coming either. I get it that they're in Florida but I'm having a hard time w/the fact that NOBODY could manage to come. Whatever, it is what it is.

As for the emergency surgery, all I can say is, whatever. Her loss.
